Navigating Border Control Challenges to Keep Cargo Moving (August 14, 2021)

Stranded—but not stopped.

One of our workhorse trucks is currently stranded at Barcelona Port in Escalante City due to the strict border control measures being implemented for travelers and truck drivers entering Cebu Province.

As part of the health and safety protocols, the Philippine Coast Guard stationed at Barcelona Port requires drivers to present either a negative RT-PCR test result taken within the last 72 hours or a negative Antigen test result taken within the last 48 hours before clearance to board the vessel can be granted.

While these measures may cause delays in transportation operations, we fully recognize and respect the importance of safeguarding public health during these challenging times. Our team continues to coordinate closely with the relevant authorities to ensure compliance with all requirements and to minimize disruptions to cargo movement.
